As a social enterprise venture, Jireh Technologies, Inc. (Jireh Tech) serves as a public benefit 501©3 organization that was incorporated in February 2004. As social entrepreneurs, the Jireh Tech management team is engaged in creating a sustainable model of mitigating the digital divide and utilizing information and communications technology (ICT) as a tool for community development.
The efficacy of Jireh Tech’s intervention emphasizes social, human, political and financial capital in asset-based community development. Our information and communications technology strategies empower community identities and promote community building, linking under-served constituencies to emerging digital media technologies.
Jireh Tech is distinguished by its support of technological empowerment that contributes to community development, workforce development, digital democracy, affordable housing, economic development, education/life-long learning and social justice. Jireh Tech intends to be a catalyst in fostering digital democracy emphasizing the systemic problems that are pertinent to the digital divide: access, literacy, compelling community content, diversity and infrastructure.
